At first glance, Levi’s story reads like a tale of two worlds—one drenched in flashing lights, heavy bass drops, and a lifestyle fueled by substances, and the other immersed in faith, spiritual rebirth, and a mission to glorify Christ through music. But for the Wisconsin-based artist now known as R3BORN, the two worlds collided in a way that only God could orchestrate.
The Transformation: From Secular EDM to Spirit-Led Sounds
Before stepping into Christian music, Levi was deep in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene, producing secular dubstep music. It wasn’t just about the music—it was the lifestyle. Drugs, partying, and a fascination with the darkest corners of the genre became the fuel for his creativity. “I would use marijuana to make music,” he admits. “It was my creative substance. But now, the Holy Spirit is my substance.” Everything changed in January 2024, when Levi had a radical encounter with God. After years of struggling with addiction, depression, and spiritual confusion, he found himself crying out to God one night in desperation. What happened next was undeniable—he heard the audible voice of God telling him to get rid of marijuana. “At first, I thought I was just tripping. But I heard it again. And then a third time. That’s when I knew—it wasn’t me talking.” This moment marked the beginning of his transformation. Levi chose obedience, throwing away his marijuana and stepping into a journey of deliverance.
A Battle in the Spirit: The Dream That Changed Everything
Soon after, Levi had a vivid dream—one that he describes as a spiritual battle against temptation. In the dream, a demon wielded a massive sword, attacking him while repeatedly offering him weed. Each time Levi resisted, the demon struck him. But when he finally declared, “I quit smoking!”, the demon lost his weapon, and Levi was suddenly holding both his own dagger and the enemy’s sword. “He started screaming at me to kill him because he had no more weapons,” Levi recalls. It was a powerful confirmation—God had broken the chains of addiction in his life.
Mass Deliverance: A Life Forever Changed
Levi’s full surrender came in October 2024 at a mass deliverance event with over 10,000 people. He walked in with a heart desperate for change, refusing to leave the same way he came. “The demons left through my tears,” he shares. “I was just crying and screaming for them to leave. And after that, I never craved pornography, drunkenness, or weed again.”This wasn’t just a moment—it was a complete transformation. He cut off old influences, immersed himself in the Word, and fully committed his music to God.
Bringing Jesus to EDM: A New Sound for a New Mission
Now, as R3BORN, Levi is pioneering a new wave of Christian EDM. His goal? To create music that glorifies God without compromising the energy and intensity that EDM fans love. “You can still have a hard drop and say, ‘Christ is Lord,’” he explains. “Words are powerful. In secular EDM, there’s so much glorification of drugs and sin. But I’m proving you don’t have to compromise the sound to bring a different message.”By incorporating vocal samples from worship singers, gospel choirs, and Scripture, R3BORN is crafting a sound that’s unlike anything the CHH and Christian EDM communities have seen before.
Impacting the CHH Community: A New Alternative for Listeners
Levi understands the struggle of Christian music fans who enjoy EDM but don’t want to consume the toxic messages found in secular tracks. He believes there’s a growing demand for Christian EDM and is passionate about filling that gap. “There’s no excuse anymore to listen to secular music,” he says boldly. “There are so many fire Christian artists now. I want to be a part of that movement, giving people an alternative that doesn’t compromise their faith.” Beyond EDM, he also highlights and mixes Christian rap, showing how the genre is evolving with artists who sound just as good—if not better—than their secular counterparts but are glorifying God.
Growing in Faith: Feeding the Spirit
For R3BORN, music is just one part of his faith journey. His daily routine is rooted in the Word, prayer, and time in the secret place with God. He compares it to working out: “Reading the Bible, praying, fasting—those are like spiritual weightlifting. But you also need nutrients. And that’s where being in God’s presence comes in. Just sitting in silence, listening for His voice, and letting Him pour into you.”

The name R3BORN comes from John 1:12-13: “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” It signifies the spiritual rebirth Levi experienced—a new creation, a new mission, and a new name in Christ.
