Re Baker: A Journey of Faith and Music

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we honor the women who inspire, break barriers, and live out their faith boldly. One such woman is Re Baker, a talented musician, entrepreneur, and minister from Georgia whose journey to kingdom music is nothing short of transformative.

Born and raised in Georgia, Re’s love for music began at a young age. She started writing and performing music as a child, and by the time she was 13, she began rapping. However, despite her growing talent, something always felt off. As Re created secular music, she couldn’t shake the conviction that her songs weren’t aligned with her values. “I always had a sense that what I was making wasn’t right for me,” Re reflects. “Even when I wasn’t fully walking with the Lord, there was something in me saying, ‘This isn’t where I’m supposed to be.’”

In 2016, Re experienced a life-changing encounter with Christ that forever shifted the course of her life and career. She recalls a night when she was with a friend, doing her hair and smoking, when she felt an overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit. “That night was the last time I ever touched weed or did anything like that,” Re explains. “It was like a light bulb moment. I knew right then that I was being called to something greater.”
This powerful experience marked the beginning of Re’s transformation, both spiritually and musically. From that moment on, her music became a tool to glorify God, and she started creating kingdom music—songs that reflected her new identity in Christ. “Once it clicked, it all made sense. This is what I was meant to use my music for,” she says. “It was a total shift, and I felt called to focus solely on faith-driven music.”

Alongside her music career, Re also pursued a graphic design and photography business. She’s passionate about using her creative skills to spread the gospel through visual art and media. She also founded a ministry called Regeneration, which focuses on inspiring others to find hope and transformation in Christ. Her ministry includes a podcast, where she shares her experiences and discusses how faith intersects with everyday life.

When asked about her definition of success, Re’s response isn’t centered on fame or wealth. “In our culture, success is often measured by followers, money, and influence. But for me, success is completing the work God has called me to,” she says. “If my music reaches even one person and leads them closer to Christ, then I’ve succeeded.”

Re credits much of her journey to the strong support system she’s built around herself. From her family and friends to the mentors she’s connected with over the years, Re is grateful for the people who push her to keep going. “I have a community that really believes in me,” she says. “That’s been such a blessing, because not everyone has that support. It’s what keeps me going when I feel discouraged.”
Re’s faith and dedication to her craft are a testament to the power of obedience and following God’s call, even when it’s difficult. “The world will try to pull you in different directions, but when you’re grounded in Christ, you can stay focused on your purpose,” she shares. “I don’t want my music to be about me or what I can gain. It’s about pointing people back to the Lord and helping them find healing and hope in Him.”

As Re continues to grow in her ministry and music career, her story serves as a reminder that success isn’t about external recognition—it’s about fulfilling the purpose God has placed in your heart. “I want to be able to say at the end of it all, ‘I did what God called me to do,’” she says. “That’s success.”

Re Baker’s journey is one of transformation, obedience, and faith. Her music and ministry continue to inspire many, proving that when we align our talents with God’s purpose, everything falls into place. As she moves forward, Re remains committed to using her gifts to spread the love and truth of Christ, showing that faith and art can come together in powerful ways.
